Detailed Description
Providing information and assistance to the Individual and/or Designated Representative for the purpose of securing the support and services in order to successfully self-direct services.

This support includes but is not limited to:

Implement practical skills training (recruiting, hiring, managing, terminating workers, managing, and approving timesheets, problem solving, conflict resolution)

Establish work schedules for the individual's employees base upon their support needs/plan

Help manage the individual's budget and employee rate setting

Define goals, needs and preferences, identifying and accessing services, supports, and resources as part of the person-centered planning process

Assist in navigating Individual Directed Goods and Services

Develop an emergency back-up plan
-
Implement employee training
-
Promote independent advocacy, to assist in filing grievances and complaints when necessary
